Kayla Fike

My name is Kayla Fike and I am a Designer. I was born in Ann Arbor, MI and raised in a small town called Belleville. I have been making silly YouTube videos, writing stories, and creating characters since I was a little girl. Little did I know that those hobbies would eventually turn into a career choice. 

I’m a graduate from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI with a B.A in film and video with an emphasis in animation and a minor in writing. I was given many opportunities during my time at GVSU including my role as a founder and secretary of the Animator's Guild and having many of my pieces showcased during galleries.

Currently, I am a Multimedia Designer for a company based in Grand Rapids called, Advance Local. I am a big part of the video team, but have been dabbling in digital ads as well! Check out the to see the work I’ve done in both of my portfolios!

In the past, I did a lot of freelance and contract work for companies in Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor doing graphic design and motion graphics for even bigger companies like Amway.
